In 1970, news of Nixon’s invasion of Cambodia and the killings at Kent State triggered the May 1970 student strikes, the largest student protest in U.S. history, involving more than 900 Colleges, Universities, and High Schools.

The same entities crying about the peaceful young protesters today were the same ones who slammed the civil rights movements of the 1960s and the anti-war protests against U.S. aggression in Vietnam. It's like Groundhog Day. Back then, police *shot* at students on campus! Are these the people that "protect and serve, " or do they think it is the other way around?

They are likely the same parties who blasted Martin Luther King for his anti-war stance when he said as follows:

_“I could never again raise my voice against the violence of the oppressed, without having first spoken clearly to _*_the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today – my own government.”_* - Martin Luther King, "Beyond Vietnam."

Columbia is not compulsory education. Students are free to transfer to other schools that align with their opinions.

Suggest students who are protesting disruptively spend their time preparing for final exams and then leave. Other students can speak their mind without crippling the school functions.

I agree, bring in the National Guard and let them take an additional year in order to graduate.

Media... One does not need to support this activity by providing a lot of free air time, right?
