Thanks for the Info, I assumed I was wanting soundproofing but I, m really wanting Sound deadening/damping. I want to make my living space sound like a cinema or carpet shop, haha. something cosy about the lack of echo.
I've got plans for heavy curtains for the wall behind the sofa and a think carpet.

I have to ask ... was the recording of the video always made with the same microphone? When the panels are not present, it sounds like the recording is made from the camera and obviously the rest is made with the lavalier microphone.... not trying to provoke. Just very curios to understand the difference. Thanks for the video.

What would be the best stuff to put on the insides of a mini split condenser unit case? Sound deadening stuff for cars I imagine?..

Say I gather a huge amount of empty cans and screwed them to the wall what effect would that have? I'm thinking #10 coffee cans, maybe lined with some kind of foam. My thinking goes, no angles to reflect so it should be quiet. I don't think it would help much for out side the room sourced sounds.

Do you have any experience with things like 9-18 mm of felt on an entire wall in order to both improve soundproofing and sound deadening? Or like cork mats to cover a wall with? Im working from home a lot and want to not annoy my wife, I've replaced the door with a very heavy sound proofing door that drops a soft double layer at the bottom when closing the door but i fear the wall is the weak point now + theres hardly any acoustic treatment

@soundproofguide
I was saving money in my plan to soundproofing my room to be used as a one man musician's music studio (control room, vocal booth and etc.). Suddenly, before my saving was enough, my next wall neighbor started his semi outdoor café business (which including loud music and karaoke etc. everyday) on his front yard-garage area which shared same roof and only separated by a brick wall with/to my said room, so now it's become very noisy all the time, and to make it short, there's nothing I can do to stop him doing the business. Now, my question is, (I know even if it's still possible, it would be harder and more expensive for me, but) "Is it really still possible to make my room as soundproofed as maximum to be quiet enough as a studio, or how much is the possibility for me to still use my room, build the effective soundproof etc., for that purpose? (sorry for my bad English)

Why always recommending an inch of drywall or thin layer of vinyl? Recommend 6 inches of solid concrete and 4 inches of brick 🧱.
