TDS is definitely an important criterion to select the best purifier. For low supply TDS below 250ppm, choose UF purifier. For TDS range of 200-1500 choose Nano filtration purifier, For above 1200 TDS go for RO.

My water tds is 178 . Is it drinkable ? If we go for can water it’s only 30 ? Which one I can choose ?

150 is not a high tds its safe for above 300 is high

Tds level is actually supposed to be here higher. More alkaline water is actually good for you. For some weird reason, this here is telling to have less tds in your drinking water. In reality water from the clean nature, waterfalls, is higher with minerals and so it can reach to 7000 tds. So actually it is better to drink water that is rich with minerals.
