Would be useful and cool if you had a module on the Gibraltar website that allows users to build their own rig, position it the way they want in 3D, then it tells you which parts you need, which clamp or hinge and calculates the total price. Similar to the Sonor SQ2 drum configurator.

I feel very lucky to have found this video. For over a year, I’ve been looking for clamp that would fit my needs…and now I will search no longer. The sc-gcsra fills my requirement completely. Thank you so much.

Gibraltar gear is superb! I've used several clamps this week to build a custom stand for the microscope I use to build micro-soldered electronics boards. The clamps have no play, so the microscope arm doesn't shake and it all fits on my small workbench. I used this video to give ma some guidance so I could visualise before ordering.

This is so damn helpful for clarifying a part of the drum gear world that numbs my brain. Thanks for posting!

The memory clamp is the most useful. In addition to helping set everything up the same way every time, the memory clamps provide additional support for my heavier drums.

SC-GRSHKML I have after thoughts at EVERY show haha either I add, remove, or reposition something on my set-up. It's always nice to know that with this hindged memory lock, I don't have to dismantle my entire rack to do so. THANKS

The standard and super multi clamps will work with Pearl tom arms. Our hardware is not brand specific. We design our gear to work with all brands. We did a video a few years ago showing how you can adapt a Pearl drum set to a Gibraltar rack.

Standard multi clamps
SC-GRSMC (black version)
SC-GCRMC (chrome version)

Super multi clamps
SC-GRSSMC (black version)
SC-GCSMC (black version)

I'm planning on a left side rack to come right off the front of my Stealth Rack (GSVMS), the clamps i'm going to use for it is all going to be chrome. I'll start off w/ the Adjustable right angle clamp (sc-gcara), a 24'' curved wing and i'll cut it in half, the sc-guatc clamp, a 46'' curved crossbar, another adjustable right angle clamp (sc-gcsar), a 30'' curved tube, and a 40'' curved tube (i'm thinking about doing the same design as the 2012 NAMM rack, and Hannah Ford's Rack that Brent bulit), sc-rmaa, the sc-rba, sc-gcsmc (2), the sc-gcrmc (2), and for those multi clamps, i'm getting the chrome hinged memory lock (wing nut version), and last but not least the sc-gcml for the 46'' curved crossbar.

Quiz answer for Brent : I think it's the sc-gcsar (the adjustable chrome right angle clamp).

I would definitely use memory locks for any items that have any kind of weight to them, to help prevent slippage. Clamps that hold drums should absolutely be memory locked. You won’t need a memory lock for splash cymbals because there is not enough weight to make the clamp slip. I would also add them to the frame of the rack where tubes connect to prevent a cross bar from slipping if you have a number of items being mounted to it.

Brent & Co.,

I own 2 Gibraltar curved road racks for my Gretsch acoustic kit & my home Roland Vdrum kit.

My Question is: Should I buy 3 Standard multi-clamps or 3 Super multi-clamps for my Gretsch 8", 10", & 12" rack toms? Thx.

The plan is to mount a SC-LBBT cymbal arm for my ride cymbal on the front leg of the GSSMS and I want a 20" crash above it. I also have a 19" crash next to the ride so in order to get my 20" crash where I want it i need to tilt a curved bar a bit forward to clear the other cymbals. It's not a dramatic angle but maby 15 to 20 degrees. I would prefer to use the SC-GCSAR becouse that gives me the ability to move the curved bar up and down if I need to adjust the height.

i use the standard 90 degree black clamps at all 3 vertical posts on my rack, the old style t-leg assemblies, both for legs and my snare basket, standard multi clamps for cymbal booms and my primary snare, and super multiclamps for 4 of 5 toms. the toms have the wingnut memory locks on at least one side, the 14" uses 2. the t-legs and 'knuckles' of the rack use slip on memory locks. so really, they're all pretty damn useful to me.. lol
