Daniel Clarke Bouchard started playing the piano at the age of five years old and gave his first piano recital at six.
He received grand prize three consecutive years at the Joy of music Festival held at Mcgill University. In 2009, he won the gold medal at the Montreal Classical Music Festival . In 2010, he took gold in the Concerto Competition as part of the Quebec Music Educators' Association.
In 2011, Daniel Clarke won first place at the Canadian Music Competition and received the Yamaha, Canimex and Gilles Chatel scholarships.
This year, he had the privilege to make his debut with the Metropolitain Orchestra, performing the Mendelssohn piano concerto no.1 3rd mvt with conductor Daniel Myssyk as part of the Montreal en Lumiere festival. Daniel has played at the New Symphonic hall of the OSM, the Oscar Peterson hall, the Redpath hall in Mcgill University, at Birks, Le Maison Trestler, and he's sang at Carnegie Hall with the South Shore Children Choir along with the New England Symphonic Ensemble in 2009.
He has also performed for many fundraisers in Montreal. Daniel has shared the stage and performed with the great Oliver Jones who has been his mentor and local personality Gregory Charles.
On May 20, 2012 Daniel performed at Carnegie Hall, as first prize winner of the the Bradshaw and Buono International Piano Competition held in New York.
His upcoming concerts include a concert with the Montreal Jubilation choir conducted by Mr.Trevor Payne, playing the Bach concerto in f minor with the Appasionata chamber orchestra and the Shostakovitch concerto in f major with the Metropolitain Orchestra.
He currently studies piano at the Conservatoire de Musique de Montreal with professeur Richard Raymond.

J'ai fait sa connaissance sur les ondes de Radio Canada cette semaine. Un jeune pianiste très prometteur ! On lui souhaite un beau développement à son talent.
