The Valletta waterfront, Malta + 323 metres long Italian Seaview ship

The Valletta Waterfront is essentially a collection of centuries-old warehouses where mariners of the past would moor their vessels, laden with everything from treasures to the more mundane requirements of everyday life in Malta. Ships would unload their cargo for inspection and customs by the representatives of the ruling Knights of St. John.

Great video. Love that ship!! Did you know our Grand Harbour can accommodate SIX mega cruise ships? And the old warehouses are restored to the original liking, with the painted colourful doors. When they were built, they had coloured doors because many of the sailors coming in with goods were illiterate. So they were told a colour door to go to. Don't ask me what they did if they were colour blind tho. LOL

Hi again, you are really getting around :) very enjoyable. I looked it up and that ship is 3 times the size (by weight) of the Titanic !!! my brother went on a cruise from Malta returning to Malta on his last visit and he says that it was one of the best trips he had. It is so nice to see all the waterfront fixed up like it is. Cheers

Forgot to mention :) the prices on the menus are pretty good for a tourist area, actually I would say very cheap compared to other cities in Europe like Paris, Rome, London and many others.
