Dia de los Muertos (Day of The Dead) is a Mexican Holiday that takes place on November 2nd. This tradition is not affiliated with Halloween. I just thought this would be a great look to start off my halloween series. I also thought it would be a nice dedication to my grandma. It's been almost one year since she passed away

My grandma always knew what to say and do to always bring a smile to my face or anyone for that matter. It's still unreal to not see or hear her voice anymore. @vintagefanatic577 That's why you set it with the loose face powder and eyeshadow! It stayed on my face pretty well, especially sitting under the hot lights while filming this tutorial for 2.5 hours.

@Chealder Nope! It's celebrated on November 1st to honor the deceased. Love ones adorn grave stones with food, flowers, and sugar skulls. It's a fascinating tradition! Look it up on google ;)

@oolibrice Well from what I was taught & researched, Dias de los Muertos is a Holiday Celebrated in Mexico as well as Mexican americans on November 2nd. You're probably right... I'm pretty sure other cultures celebrates this tradition in a similar way

Omg!!!my husband is mexican and so im a bit familiar with the Dia De Los Muertos celebration!!! The look that you created was not only authentic but ingenious! I never would have thought to use ordinary make up to create this look!!! Kudos homegirl!

@melissa90ify No I didn't plan on it. You could wear all black, lace even? or wear a vintage wedding gown for a dramatic effect. Play around & have fun with it ;)
