the first movement is pure fire! what an energy! what a rhythm! All the lines, masses, cadences, intensities seem to bo sculptured by a Michelangelo of the precision.

Amo la op 93 de Beethoven x Karajan es una caricia al alma escuche x varias orquestas pero me quedo con la de Berlin q es una grabacion extraordinaria

Karajan captures very well the mood and spirit of what must be considered the most characteristic of Beethoven's symphonies. It embraces his humour and wit in his middle period idiom. If K falls down at all it is in his rather slow rendition of the third movement minuet. Conductors often fall into the trap of assuming that all classical symphonies contain a slow movement - this one doesn't!

Dire qu'on avait l'habitude naguère de parler de Karajan comme d'un forcené du tempo. Qu'on l'accusait d'avoir "le feu aux fesses" et d'accélèrer les rythmes...Mais non! C'est la vie et la force qu'il insufflait à ces pages de pur bonheur. Après tout, les gens de sa génération et nés seulement 80 ans après la mort du grand Ludwig avaient tout en main pour perpétuer sa mémoire, avec les bonnes influences et les bons ressentis...Ne l'oublions pas
