So to provide some context as to why people might give a damn about a fucking hug, Comey made it very clear (in his memos) that he doesn't want to have a "close" relationship with the president, and to keep matters of the office and the bureau distinctly separate in the interest of non-bias.

Comey clearly just wants a handshake, but Trump does his classic pull-in move and hugs him, kissing him on the cheek as well. Seems like small potatoes, but this projects the optics of Comey being chummy with the President, which ultimately compromises him in front of his colleagues.
