Animated for #brickfilmday2023, the greatest day of the year (pulled an all-nighter trying to polish it up in the edit just to forget the intros smh)

So, Chainsaw's am I right???

In October, the Chainsaw Man Anime dropped and while I was quite impressed with the first episode, what kept me hooked was the opening. I have not been so blown away by an op since I had first watched Attack on Titan two years ago. Knowing some rumors and bits of information of the story then trying to piece it together with the opening was one of the most engaging experiences I've ever had. While that fascination with KICKBACK is what carried me through the darkest moments of this project, the obsession is also what made me unable to drop it and focus on other things. Much like the Anime's dedication to meeting a realistic, movie-like style, the initial goal of keeping everything 1 to 1 within reason also incredibly laborious leading to hours spent just setting up shots (I reckon this greatly contributed to procrastination). But, I developed short hands to speed-up the workflow and now I do believe I have reached a level in my stop-motion animation where I can comfortably saw I am good at it.

I am glad that in the end, the group (masol + grasso with the clutch) was able to pull through and finish the project (had apple screen time not seen the position I was in and magically removed itself from my ipad, this would not come out on time). It looks like, whether I like it or not, my future is slowly moving me away from Lego. But, life is about balance and considering I have been spent the better part of three years pouring my everything into these bricks, maybe that's a good thing. Something akin to a farewell video might drop in a few weeks or so to make the end feel more conclusive.

Now, if you don't mind me. I am going to KICKBACK and relax. hehehhee Later.

Bro, I am lost for words. This was an absolute blast. A perfect recreation for a perfect opening you could say. Each part blended with one another wonderfully and the amount of creativity that went into this is astonishing. It's great to see this work of art out there. Have a good rest, my dude.

Absolutely amazing! It's always fun to see anime recreations in lego. Original is so chaotic with great animation and this projects nailed the Chainsaw Man style. I especially like the shot 1:08 of Denji riding the golden ball to jump up and finish of the "donut devil" with out of socked animation that is surprisingly fateful to the original.

Reading in the "slowly moving away from lego" was really relatable. As time passed and priorities in life shift this passion of ours slowly takes the backsit. Whether you decide to quit it entirely or show up from time to time with a new brickfilm you will definitely be remembered in the community.
