Recently moved out of an apartment I was in for a year. During move out we made sure the unit was well cleaned. This included cleaning all glass, countertops, floors, appliances and cabinets inside and out. Also swept out the porch and garage and made sure any cobwebs were knocked down.

My goal was to leave the place how I would want my rental property left (I am also a landlord myself) and have never in the past had any difficulties having my full deposit returned.

I ended up being hit with 500 dollars worth of general cleaning charges (general cleaning, carpet cleaning, paint and one hour of labor).
