Belgium is home to Europe's largest Hasidic Jewish population.

But the country - like many in Europe - has seen a large spike in antisemitic attacks since the war between Israel and Hamas began on 7 October.

Some in Antwerp's Jewish community have told Sky News the rise in abuse and intimidation has made them consider leaving Belgium altogether.

I know Jews in Melbourne who have left and migrated to Israel because of the Government & Police turning on the Melbourne Jewish community...most of all we are horrified at the anti semitic Penny Wong and Albanese...

It's worth pointing out that the ethnic Chinese suffered worse during COVID, they were all told to leave on social media, despite being born here.

"The public almost automatically associates Jews and Israel. The press continues to refer to "the Jewish State." Israeli politicians often speak "in the name of the Jewish people." Yet the Zionist movement and the creation of the State of Israel have caused one of the greatest schisms in Jewish history."
Yakov M. Rabkin,  professor of history at the University of Montreal, 2006.

The take home message of all this is that Belgium would have been better off remaining the dedicated homeland of the Flemish and the Walloons. Perhaps they could have tolerated a small Jewish community if it had been to their benefit to do so. Migration from elsewhere, particularly outside Europe, has destroyed Brussels just as it has done much of London, Marseilles and Paris. Squabbles between Jews and Arabs over whose God is more bloodthirsty should have nothing to do with Europe and Europeans.

That's a great shame. There's been a major increase in both antisemitism and islamophobia since Oct 7th. Looking foward to a time when we treat each other well, and as individuals more than members of a group.

Why on earth are governments allowing this to happen to their citizens in this day and How can a Jewish person living out of Isreal be responsible for what is happening in This is seriously not acceptable😢
