If Benedict Mathurin can develop into an All Star level player, the Pacers will be in the mix in the East. Hali is the foundation, he’ll be a consistent 20 and 10 guy on ELITE efficiency for like 10 years. They just need a second legit GUY to emerge before they can really compete. I think Mathurin has the mindset to be that guy but only time will tell.

Imma say it...MICHAEL JORDAN. That's who's film footage Benedict Mathurin should study. There's alot about Mathurin's game that reminds me of Jordan's. He knows how to use his strength, the ball and his body to get to the rim and score the ball OR get the foul call if not the And1. He's tenacious about getting to the rim and has finesse. He can knock down the 3 with a defender in his face and doesn't get rattled. He wants that challenge. And he has hang time.

I know so many rookies come into the NBA wanting to be like Mike, but few have the skills, the body type, the mentality or that swagger - that non-flinching confidence - to pull it off, but Benedict Mathurin does.
