Thank you again. I totally agree about the insects. This has felt like a very warm winter for my area. It feels like winter is just flying by fast this year. We have gotten rain then normal. We typically get snow. We've had some snow however it doesn't last long. I've enjoyed the rain for a change. I've also enjoyed the warmer weather. However we do need some deep freezes to get those nasty pests under control before they are out of control in the summer 🌞

We ended up with 3.2 inches of snow at my house just north of Spokane in Mead! Was not expecting that. Pleasant surprise this morning ❄️

Very cold arctic air is also healthy for strong refreeze for our glaciers and mountain snowpack. They are our sources of fresh drinking water.

As a High School student, a snowstorm is my best friend. A day or two off and some time to screw around with my friends. I can snowboard at a local park! Haha

Frost/Freezing for insect control but mostly we need chill hours for the fruit trees to set fruit - usually prune after first frost and frost is about 6 weeks late so far for my area. R

Got an unexpected ice then snow fall late last nite! Only a couple inches here in the low hills of n. Idaho. But much appreciated! Our lake isnt even frozen yet. Weird !!

Welcome back, I take it you got to see some great waves. Best ones on some islands in a while. Love your show. Best on the PNW. Being stationed at McCord AFB in the 80's, I took some atmospheric classes at then Ft Steilacoom C.C. . My instructor was a gentleman who was the channel 11 news broadcaster. Nice guy prior A.F. weather guy at McCord. The thing is he wore the worst hair piece of anyone I have ever known, but he did teach me enough to really enjoy following the weather, watching how the currents play out. And mostly why 😊.

Im rooting for cooler air and moisture bc i like snow. So far this seasons sucked. Lol. The mt good but valleys havent seen any. Havent seen many w8nters like what were dealing with now in n. idaho.

I live by a small lake in n. Idaho. Our ground is Not frozen, my little pond is not frozen and our lake that normally has ice fishing in thevwinter, has No ice!! Weird weather!!

This fall and winter has been a complete bust for any cold weather in western Washington. We need the arctic air to kill off the mosquitoes and other flying insects.

Oh, and another thing; for the snow doubters, in 2021, we got a foot of snow in Centralia WA in mid February. We still have time to see lowland snow. Models are too far out to garuntee anything, so only time will tell.
