Is no one going to talk about how sweet her singing voice is as well???!?

I feel so bad for the editor who had to coordinate the flashing boxes during the fast beatboxing part.

She's a very good communicator, explains things perfectly.

It doesn't matter what the topic is. Watching someone talk about something they're passionate about is the most enjoyable experience.

her looking the way she does, being a beatboxer, and being called Butterscotch is like a triple hit "you will never be cool as me" combo as soon as you open the video

When she started *singing, * *beatboxing, * *and* *playing* *the* *guitar* all at the same time I lost it.

*_Wow_*

Honestly the best thing about this video is how she carries and presents herself: calm, clear, passionate about her craft and most of all endearingly genuine.
This is an unashamed (and rightfully so) tribute and masterclass to something which has obviously inspired her, motivated her and given her an outlet for creativity and freedom of expression through vocalism and musicianship. Skills which have no doubt taken her years of practice to hone, and now she is passing on tips and techniques to help others.
"In the old days" people didn't have help and advice like this, they had to figure things out for themselves, experiment and push themselves. The thing that is still just as true now is that people are still experimenting, still pushing themselves and the limits of what is possible, to create new techniques and sounds and, as she points out in the video, bring their own unique qualities and style in finding their own 'voice'.
With respect, congrats Butterscotch!

I appreciate how she said she's trying to get better at this and that. Super humble, mad talent.

so what i'm learning as a linguist is that beatboxers have defied hundreds of years of linguistic evolution by ignoring every regular sound change/pronunciation law possible

"You don't wanna use all the sounds all at once, it'd be like having a drummer-"

Me: whoa that actually sounds sick

That was the most technical breakdown of beatboxing I've ever heard. Most excellent.

She's an amazing teacher! So calm and concise - perfect for what can seem so overwhelming when you hear it all put together.

She has such a positive, joyful and calm demeanor! I didn't think I would be interested by this video, not being into beatboxing at all, but she made everything very clear, the editing helped a lot too. Some Americans performers/public figures have an ability to radiate such positivity, it's impressive and one of the reasons why we can't be entirely mad at your country.
Great lesson and great music, thank you!

She's amazing.
The editor who had to time all the little boxes is amazing as well.
