A useful video for anyone who wants to program a PIC microcontroller using a PICkit3 and ICSP on a breadboard. Especially relevant for students taking GCE A level electronics.

Great Video. One liitle observation here: I read on some forums that putting also a 100nF capacitor across supply pins is a pretty recommended practice, considering the fact that digital circuits may take peaks of currents, which may lower the Rail voltage and... trigger Brown Out reset... or something. I used to place 100nF right across its terminals to minimize the inductance of the wires.

Anyway, this is a much, much, much better way than programming via ZIF socket programmer and ruin the pins of the microcontroller.

Hopefully this video will be of some interest and use. I can post more videos showing testing and programming in assembly.

thank you for the video
I have 1 question
So the steps are the following?
1)turn of the power from the breadboard
2) connect the pickit3 in the breadbord and our pc and then download the code to the mC
3) turn back on the power on the breadboard
