It is so nice to see a religious, older person so educated, and more importantly fighting for LGBTQ+ rights, climate change, etc.

It’s so healing, so hopeful to see two people talking without disrespecting anyone. With a logical train of thoughts, wanting to see EVERYONE’s like improved. Stimulating and heartwarming. We need this more than ever. Thanks trevor, not only for what you do, but also for the people you chose to give the spotlight on. I feel better than i did 15mn ago.

Preach, Rev. Sharpton. I know he got a really bad rap in the 90s but he is a true warrior against racism. He was a pioneer of protests and marches in the 90s. He refused to be silent and complacent. Lots of people hate him for that. I wonder why? (Sarcasm intended). History will be a lot kinder to his legacy than people were in the moment.

The Reverend gives such sensible and wise advice. One can only hope that his advice is widely followed. I'm a fan! 😎

Burning things down only gets someone else shot or strangled.

Sharpton is right. You cannot say that you are standing up to protect your community when you are burning it down around you.
Now that being said, there are many people who doing everything they can to insure that protests are peaceful and those are, what I feel, many of the unsung heroes of our times. The unfortunate thing is that there are alot of people are using these protests as a means for their own selfish interests. They need to be in check.

I understand Rev. Sharpton's position on peaceful protest, and I greatly respect it coming from someone like him. I have also seen those who ask, if we have been trying peaceful protests for years and the enemy has still justified using lethal force against them, then what good is continuing peaceful protest? When one and only one side is willing to be peaceful, and the other side is willing to crush peaceful protest with outright violence, it seems like the violent side gets their way. I would like to know Rev. Sharpton's thoughts on that.

First off, Trevor keep rocking the fro. I was never a fan of Rev. Sharpton until I seen him on the Blacklist on HBO. What he's saying about strategy is spot on. How does destroying your own community bring about change? We need to vote. Presidential and local elections matter. We also need to be stingy with our money. We shouldn't support any institution financially that doesn't support us socially.
