If the new Foundation under C-4 is formed for the community benefit and to promote the Hmong culture, the organization must be opened to the public for election of the board officials not appointed by Lao Family Organization C-3.  The board members shall be consisted of the leaders or a board member from the each of the 18 clans.  There shouldn't be any need to pay a fee of $1, 000 to be a board member. 

IF the new Foundation under C-4 is formed to promote personal benefits then it is fine for it to run the way it has planned.  However, the organization should not use its Hmong community in promoting its events and claim to work and support the Hmong community since it isn't.  It is like selling your own people for your own good.

Hello Hmong, I understand he created this 501c4 to have all the Leaders or all the riches men to get involved this 501c4 and be ownership to support the Organization and our Hmong, but when we have somethings come up like this ideas have to share to all and write the Constitution Law by approve from the Supreme Court in State of we live to become a Rule and Signature Agreement so I think that will work on and will keep it up to life.  Please make somethings must be sure on the right Constitution law.  Thanks!  Laos Hmong

I feel that the new structure of the 501(c)4 isn't to the benefit of the community.  It is rather a benefit for the board members' benefit.  First, a member already stated in one of the videos that the attorney general had warned Lao Family organization to cease its participation or hosting of the July 4th soccer tournament and the River Center Hmong new year.  These board members know how much profit they can benefit from these two events.  Without these two events, the board members will get zero dollar because they cannot spend the state and federal funds sent to the organization for personal purposes.  As a result, they will do anything to keep hosting these two events.  If they do not restructure to 501(c)4, they will not be able to host these two events in the future and so other new groups will take over.  In order to prevent this from happening, they must restructure in order to form a new foundation, new organization to run these events.  This way they will still have control over the two events. 

Becoming a non-profit organization only gives the board members more rights to do whatever they want with the money earned from the events rather than following the strict rules or regulations within the non-profit organization policies. 

It's a shame.
