Gorka is such a good partner! He knows how to tone down his dancing to show off his partner's skills. In fact, this routine is more a showcase of what Punam can do! Definitely will be rooting for this couple!

I thought Punam was underrated, she has great rhythm already, looked very natural in places, her footwork was strong and the character suited her well. She's so lovely which makes you want to root for her, another one that I think will improve with time and show us some great dancing, they're both such a breathe of fresh air

Dr Punam is holding back her energy she needs to let go, relax and then she will be able to start to feel into dancing better, this was a very basic routine for week one and it showed seeing as a lot of other pairing had more complicated and better structured dance routines, but I did think that Dr Punam did better than I expected and I hope she does even better next week, as ever gorka is a corka.

The guy she's dancing with is "it". I'd challenge them (the show, promising dancers) to learn 3 choreographers of dance in its entirety designed for them with floor plans. It would elevate them personally and they would have something to offer creatively.

Two marvellous dancers. It's best to feature same sex male pairings as a feature dance rather than as a competitive couple, because an all male same sex couple always ends up costing a female celebrity an opportunity to either dance with one of the excellent gay male dancers, or worse still costs the female celeb an early elimination regardless of talent, as was the case with the talented Angela Scanlon last year, whom Craig did his best to discourage in order to Foster the progress of his west end colleague in a male same sex couple.
