Want an incredible lodging experience in the Northeast? Look no further than Sun Retreats Wild Acres in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. This awesome outdoor resort has everything to offer, including lodging options that are only five minutes from the area’s famous beach and pier. Sunny Spaces host Brian Hawkins gives us the low-down on a few choice models.

As you walk up to the first rental, you immediately notice the grill right there on the porch. This is a perfect place to lounge around, barbeque a great meal, and just enjoy being outside. Upon entering the vacation rental, you’ll find a fold out couch that sleeps two, as well as two prominent queen beds. This studio style rental is ideal for those who plan on spending most of their time at Old Orchard Beach, the star attraction in the area. This rental is the perfect spot to sleep and relax for a family or group of up to six people. This unit also comes with a kitchenette that includes a microwave, fridge, toaster, and coffee maker. There’s even an electric fireplace and TV provided for your comfort and entertainment! While this rental may be on the cozier side, it still boasts ample storage space. In addition to the full bathroom, it also features an outdoor shower on the back deck.

The second model that Brian shows us sleeps more people and includes gorgeous wooden accents for a more rustic feel. This unit also has a propane grill and outdoor deck, as well as a very cool screened-in porch that lets you stay outside without the bugs getting after you. Inside, this rental features tons of seating and couches for playing games. If games aren’t your thing, feel free to watch a movie on the TV or cook a meal in the galley kitchen. The full appliances ensure that you’re comfortable whether you stay a couple of days or a couple of weeks. Pocket doors throughout the rental help dampen sound and provide some privacy. Through these pocket doors, a queen bed awaits you in the main bedroom along with plenty of storage and a mini-split heating and cooling system.

As we said, Sun Retreats Wild Acres is only a five-minute walk from Old Orchard Beach and its famous Pier, but that doesn’t mean the resort doesn’t have plenty of other great amenities. A few favorites include nature trails and a basketball court. It even has its own aerial adventure park!
