RIP my all my brothers and sisters in Lynyrd Skynyrd. You'll never know how much you are loved and appreciated. I thank God I lived in the times that I did.

Having an opportunity to give Leon a ride home from Jax beach one night in the mid 90’s was an amazing ride ..
We were at a bar / pub Ronnie & Johnny’s
sister owned called Freebird .
His house is beautiful with an eagle 🦅 on the gate that surrounds the home in
Fruit Cove .
I was a teenager at that time so I couldn’t
grasp the full concept of just who I had in
my 84 Monty Carlo .
As I go to work each day I pass the road
Allen Colleens totaled his Corvette on,
not 2 miles from my home .
I’m not claiming to have known them &
they wouldn’t know me but like many fans
they inspired and left us with countless
memories as our tape decks played over
and over .
Rest In Peace Fellas …🦅🇺🇸🦅

Proud of the Lynyrd Skynyrd patch I wear on my Harley-Davidson denim vest.
RIP great artists, and thanks for the masterpieces you gave us.
From Italy, while listening to "Simple Man".

More needs to be taught about these great talented gentlemen and ladies. Artistically blessed from heaven. Even if it was long ago maybe we'll start hearing REAL music again

You were there two years ago and you missed the gold that was in the ground. I just acquired Criswell Park's home plate even though it's cut off by a football field today and the baseball diamond is no longer utilized the home plate was still buried under all the grass. Yep I own that baby now. That is the home plate that started Lynyrd Skynyrd. I just couldn't believe it was still there. Cool video ❤. They moved Ronnie Van zant's grave down by the pond it's really beautiful now

Interestingly enough the bands namesake, Leonard Skinner (their high school gym teacher) is also buried in Riverside cemetery.

Last year I came to Jacksonville to visit my family, and we visited the Van Zant home.
I need to come again and visit the
Van Zant site and pay my respect to my favorite group of all time.🎵🎶🎵😄❣
