I was guilt tripped into motherhood by being told things like "But you're going to be so saaad and lonely after you turn 40 with so many cats"

Having a baby is still the worst decision I've ever made and I still believe becoming a parent is a joyless burden. I miss my old life. Cats are intelligent wonderful creatures.

Regretting parenthood is entirely normal. Accepted, too, just look at all the fathers who suddenly disappear while they're just getting cigarettes LOL. But that's male privelege I guess.
It should be just as normal to give up the child at any age once you realize you're not fit for the job, no matter your gender. We still have such a long way to go.

I didn't think about wanting kids. Later I did want them, it is who I am now. As a mom it is becomg of you, it changes you, It is very hard but it is a love better than your dog or cat. It is beautiful. Every day is beautiful and hard
