Hey, Jackie! I'm a huge fan who also suffers from an "invisible" disability, so I love that you make it a common thing to talk about. I saw this toy on TikTok and HOPED you would review it! Thank you!! 💜

This reminds me of the furby that was popular a number of years ago. Those were also interactive. They "awoke" speaking only "furbish" but after a while started using more recognizable words. Each one had it's own name - tho it took a while to recognize what it was saying. If you left it on and didn't mess with it, it would start making sounds to get your attention. The first one I got would eventually sing "doo bee doo bee doo" in the melody of "strangers in the night". And they would make a big <sigh> as if to say "I'm bored." You could also put several together and they would play with each other. I had 2 of the big ones and one baby. The baby was a tyrant. It would take over the play sessions. "You dance!" and the other two would start dancing. "You sing!" and the other two would sing (but not the same thing). Then finally "You sleep!" and the other two would go to sleep! Then it would start demanding my attention. Kinda creepy actually. 😬

I know they sell refills for this, but I've seen people make their own as well using stuff like baking soda, tiny homemade bath bombs, glitter etc. And you can put things in the compartment where the toy was, which I think is cool because it could be a really cute way to give kids a gift with something new in there haha.

Late comment, but have to say 'THANK YOU, NERDECRAFTER!" 👏 My sister bought a Magic Mixies for her son's birthday party as a magic show spectacle. I shared your video with her and we each watched it multiple times. Pre-charged the cauldron, familiarized the steps and sounds, and the live demonstration in front of 12 kids went PERFECTLY! So thank you for your content and essentially being the midwife to little 'Gunther' 😂

My little sister got one of these and started running around yelling, “where’s my magic mixie?!” She had lost the mixing wand and was yelling and banging on doors looking for it 😂. Other than that she was very happy with the experience.

I found some at Wal-Mart for $56 before Christmas. The cashier seen it asked where I found it and then he got one for his niece. He said his sister looked every where. I hope the little girl that got it liked it. It was a Sub for Santa gift. I kind of wish I could have seen her face.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen a new toy on the shelves that I think I would have enjoyed as a kid! As complicated as this toy can be, I was one of those kids who’d go to the bathroom sink and make “potions” with mixtures of soap and water. Not to mention how cute the little creature is! It reminds me of some of the sidekicks in the older Barbie films.

My daughter loves hers. Our mist had little to no odor, so maybe you had a faulty one. You can also pose the fluffy tail for more of a 3D look.

A really nice YouTuber, Jen, who's also Canadian went through a whole journey to get one of these. She made a very detailed video on it but I can't remember if it was on NexJen channel, or GreatBigToyBox 🤔

There is also a warning on the big instructions about kids with asthma and other sensitivities and it says you can do it without the smokey reaction.

This is one of those toys that’s really cute for a few minutes, but the cauldron gimmick only works once and the toy itself I can’t imagine keeping a kid busy for too long. Maybe fine at retail price but certainly not for the ridiculous price scalpers want for it.

I love the replayability of this toy! I find these mystery type toys almost always come with a huge amount of plastic waste in the packaging. This toy can be replayed with the mist(?) or just used for playing pretend. Don't know about the price though.

Wow, that is exactly a furby, just a modern (and un-creepy) version. The "spell" stuff is cute and clever--not sure what you do with the big plastic "cauldron" after you've got the toy, though.

Coming from a conservative household growing up, I can see my mom having a heart attack over this toy when I was a kid and telling me it has Satan written all over it 😂😂 its absolutely cute as heck though. I’m glad more charming and fun toys like these are coming out for this generation’s Littles.

This is nostalgia! To me, this looks like a hybrid of Treasure Rocks and Furby thrown together in the same package. Very reminiscent of the 90s. Cheers from a Canadian expat in Japan 🇨🇦🇯🇵

If you get it at retail it’s not bad. I found it at Walmart for $54. Made my kids Christmas. Mine recently got more in stock as well but they are now $59

I'm going to be honest: I want to see you customize the cauldron to be a tool of DARKNESS. Understandable if it is too complicated, being electronic and all.

I have several invisible disabilities and they are such a hard thing to deal with sometimes but Jackie you have been an amazing inspiration to me not only to share but to become more of a self advocate and have taken my life back into my own hands. Thank you so much. 💓

Hi Jackie! I’m SO thankful that you tried this product, my autistic daughter has wanted one so bad, but I’ve been hesitant to spend that kind of money on one toy! We have a limited fixed income so I didn’t want to get it and it not be worth the extra expense! Her 21st birthday is coming up (2/25, she’s also developmentally delayed, so physically she’ll be 21, but mentally/emotionally she’s an 11yo) I think I’m going to try and surprise her with this though, if I can find one!

Thank you for being yourself and showing her that it’s ok to be quirky! We both love watching your videos! And she absolutely LOVES your chair! Wishing you nothing but the best!
