Funny thing about San Marino, while they didn't officially fight in the war. Their government was deeply intertwined with Italy. So when Italy fell into civil war San Marino also tossed out their government.

Spain was never directly involved in WW2, the Spanish civil war was separate and ended before the outbreak of WW2. They did send volunteers to fight on both sides and also received aid from both sides during their own civil war but remained neutral. Not to sound like "🤓" but it is common knowledge.

Not to mention that Iceland at the time was owned by Denmark which was invaded in 6 hours, thus making them be dark green in this context.
