You are not alone! The galaxy is vast and full of wonders, but it’s also full of alien empires you’re going to encounter, whether you’re ready or not. First Contact offers a set of new origins and mechanics that give players the chance to tell stories about their civilizations’ early encounters with visitors from the stars — ones that may not have come in peace!

Good stuff, remember when I was a newbie and just put random stuff on random planets

You really need to create a couple of tutorial videos about (1) how Jobs, Job Slots and Pops work, and (2) how diplomacy works, including Opinion and Acceptance (in light of the changes to transparency in v3.0).

These two game subsystems confuse a *lot* of new players, leading to the formation of sustained incorrect assumptions.

Congrats to Ep3o for this collaboration. Stellaris needs more simple tutorials like that, it will help new players for sure =)

Great video. One thing I tend to do is build Energy Grids and Mineral Purification plants on all my worlds. I had assumed that doing so helps the world be a bit more self sufficient with basic energy and mineral needs.. Now that I see this I wonder if that is a good idea. Thoughts?

FRIENDLY POINT FOR ALL NEW PLAYERS! (Seasoned veterans, feel free to ignore this Common knowledge):

With regard to districts; while E3po is right about city & industrial districts being linked to planet size. Would also like to point out that the anglers civic, or subterranean origin also links agricultural & mining districts to planet size as well respectively 😊. Can't take both though, due to the Subterranean Origin Cave Dweller Trait being incompatible with Aquatic; which is required if going Anglers 😢.

"Planet size range from 12 to 25" and then he's got planet with size 11 😂

The only problem is a vote would take a long time but otherwise a good idea.

Yo if I get a planet with at least 6 mineral districts, that is a gold mine and Idgaf what modifiers it has, its a mining world xD.

You forgot to mention prioritising jobs you want to specialise in, in the population tab.

Meanwhile the AI making a generator and an agri district on a size 12 world with 3 available districts for those two and 11 empty mining districts 💀

Gotta be honest, I prefer the simpler planets from the old Stellaris version.

I'm getting back into the game after seeing the Stellaris 3.6 overlord Dlc. I'm still pretty much a noob though. So while watching this video, I noticed that you seem to have opened the 12 building slots using only half the the city districts. How is that possible?
