I'm thinking the unmasked Tony head was probably just a creative choice. After rewatching the Mk. II scenes, the closest thing we got was when he was testing the thrusters which we already have a separate figure from Hot Toys. Even the suitup scene it shows a POV style shot of the helmet and faceplate coming on

Banger figure. These figures on camera do not even come close to showing how amazing they look in person. Die Cast Iron Man (2.0s) are some of the greatest Hot Toys ever made.
Note in video: "People have told me I should wear gloves...." / (5 minutes later) "I apologize for all the fingerprints on the figure" 🤣

I love this guy and i haven't even gotten him yet! so so shiny and pretty! I've been wanting a MK 2 for a while and something kept me from buying the original versions when i'd see them for sale so when this guy came up for preorder I immediately did. I love that head sculpt too, I can't wait to get this figure!

I have a theory about why the head scuplt is not inside the helmet like before. I reckon it is possibly so they are able to add the ability to access to moving eyes. Maybe they couldn't figure it out on the in helmet scuplt?

Great review, I totally agree, the head sculpt looks off without the head encased in his helmet…it looks weird with the exposed head sculpt maybe it is easier for HT with the moving eyes

Thank you for putting the new head sculpt on the Mech Test body! I've been wanting to see what that looks like since the prototype was announced. I think if you twist his arms out more it will broaden his shoulders and look more proportionate. And having him mid-air, trying to balance with his eyes looking downward, could be a great pose....

I know some people have said this wasn't a necessary 2.0. Mainly because it still isn't USB powered. But for me, the paint scheme is exactly why I got it. Even if I took a loss, just like Beskar Mando, I sold the original Mk2 diecast immediately because the chrome paint just makes the new figure. Especially in that suit up scene, you can just see how shiny and reflective it is. Can't wait for mine
