Homeopathy was not discovered in Pakistan but in Germany, Europe. It was developed by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, who was a highly qualified German allopathic doctor of his time. Homeopathy, a therapeutic system used for over 200 years, works on the principle Similia Similibus Curantur which means ‘like cures like’ — an illness is treated with a substance which could produce similar symptoms in a healthy person. However, medicines are given in highly diluted forms and are therefore extremely safe and have no side-effects. This is why a good homeopath will only prescribe after taking complete case history of the patient followed by analyzing the case from all angles. A good homeopathy doctor will not prescribe medicines just on the name of disease because such a irresponsible act can harm the patient. I am telling all this because I frequently see people taking medicines without consulting a good homeopath who take their case properly and only then prescribe. These people end up damaging their health. Homeopathy is a holistic system of treatment. It aims to treat the whole person, rather than just the physical symptoms.
