Yeah uh Stalin was still alive in 1949 and Kruschev was not in charge during the time. Please do like a literal Wikipedia check next time at the very least.

Khrushchev was Ukrainian, not Russian. The correct denonym is Soviet.

“He was expecting to be treated as a guest of honor”

The fundamental flaw of communism. The human condition, also know as “becoming too big for your own britches.” All are supposed to be equal, but mao, the prime example, expected special treatment. This is a great example of why true communism is impossible.

Mao wasn’t a big fan of Stalin, he just deeply respected him as a communist, not a person. He also did not trust him in the slightest

I despise communism, but I can respect Krushchev as a more level-headed leader. Mao at worst advocated nuclear war with the West, and at best shrugged it off as survivable, a scenario Kruschev went out of his way to avoid. Also Krushchev didnt kill 60 million people

Mao appears to have been a decent military commander, but a horrible civilian leader. The man seemed to always need somebody to fight, and when enemies dried up, he manufactured new ones, whether that be the West, or the communists eating their own like in the Cultural Revolution
