What do you guys think of these new AZ-800/AZ-801 courses and exams that Microsoft is releasing?

I personally think it's great since there was currently no way for anyone to prove their server knowledge to a current or future employer. Only people who managed to write the previous Server 2016 exams or older would have some form of proof. It seems Microsoft wants to move everyone towards their role based certifications which mostly focus on things like Azure, Microsoft 365 and Dynamics.

This unfortunately left a gab though because now we had Server 2019 courses but no exams at all to write. At least now from Dec 2021 you will be able to write the AZ-800 and AZ-801 to earn yourself a Server certification once again.

Please keep in mind though that these courses don't JUST focus on Server but also cover things like Azure ect since that's where things are heading. You will need to know how to link your On-Premises environment to Azure and how to configure and maintain it. This is sadly where things are heading at this point in time.

This course is great for everyone who wants to learn Microsoft Server OS . Except Last 3 videos this course is showing what is Windows Server OS and it's roles, features, etc . Formerly knows as ( 70 740, 741, 742 ) which were retired .
AZ 800 and 801 ( both exams will give you MCSA certificate with hybrid core infrastructure ) are about All these above + Azure . I didn't find any official Microsoft Study guide, that is why i can't say more .
Big Respect to author for sharing . I am MCSA, MCSE and i can say that till now we focused on on-premise Server OS . Now we need all these knowledge and move it to the Cloud .

the problem with this course is that microsoft did not think of making an entrance exam. it is absolutely not suitable for those who are starting because windows server is not covered, it is taken for granted that a person must already know it and the concepts are advanced. the course should have been divided into several parts simplifying and reducing the concepts that are too many. even in the official modules it is written that you must already have the requirements to participate.
