Synopsis: Still grieving after the murder of her boyfriend, hairdresser Justice (Janet Jackson) writes poetry to deal with the pain of her loss. Unable to get to Oakland to attend a convention because of her broken-down car, Justice gets a lift with her friend, Iesha (Regina King) and Iesha's postal worker boyfriend, Chicago (Joe Torry). Along for the ride is Chicago's co-worker, Lucky (Tupac Shakur), to whom Justice grows close after some initial problems. But is she ready to open her heart again?

Poetic Justice (1993) is one of the most greatest romantic drama movies of all time. The story, performance's, music, screenplay, direction, and cinematography was spectacular and phenomenal. It also gives a insightful and articulate representation of grief, sorrow, and emotional trauma in a women's point of view and perspective. It was decent and to this day I still watch it. Poetic Justice (1993) is a true blue ultimate masterpiece in cinema. John Singleton directed a classic that will be in our hearts forever. It never gets old. 😍😎💯👍🏻

They need to bring voice overs back for trailers... The voice overs drew you into the story, even in some cases if a movie wasn't your type of movie, the voice overs could draw you into the story and make you want to see the movie.... R.i.p to the days of voice overs in trailers smh

Anyone else get those first notes from the trailer in their head all the time?? I saw this movie on HBO when I was a kid in the 90s. I didn't know anyone black. I didn't have an interest in hiphop or black culture or anything like that, I just liked Janet Jackson so I watched it and I was enthralled. .such chemistry between all the characters!!
