I think Detroit needs to worry less about world famous artists "defaming" their city and focus more on that they have lost their city.... Detroit is a broken town with a lost identity. The people in charge have killed it. Their claim to fame is Motown?? How about looking to the future for your identity and not toward the past. Work on bringing business and economy back into your city! Not bulling businesses like that art gallery! The gallery has no business with what artists do on their own time! Is this news station serious?? Do you know what Detroits reputation is to the rest of the country!! Here it is... Detroit was ONCE a great city that WAS the center of the auto industry in America, now it's a bankrupt, broken and mostly forgotten city. Why don't you work on that a bit and be grateful that artists want to come to your city and use it as their canvas. A fucking graffiti task force?! Are you serious!? i love that commenter wanting to scrap it off and sell it for $10, 000 on eBay. A Keith Haring or a Basquiat "vandal art" removed and preserved probably easily fetch 6 or 7 figures in the art market.

If you invite him to your town you should know he’s going to put up his work where he wants to put it. And really, would I tell the fucking cops I did that knowing they wanted to arrest me and charge me money?? Pretty stupid. “Oh, when I got to Detroit I handed out a bunch of posters to fans. I asked them not to paste them anywhere illegally but you know, I can’t really control what other people do and babysit them.”
