A Busy Day at Dolton, IL w/ patched Southern Pacific AC44CW & CSX 1776 01/07/23 (1/2)

For the first time since late 2021, I decided to visit Dolton Junction in Dolton, IL hoping for a busy day. Thankfully it was steady especially between 9 and 2 or so. Most of the traffic through here is on the CSX Barr sub though I was able to get some on the IHB (Indiana Harbor Belt) main which parallels the CSX Barr sub for a bit as well as the UP Villa Grove sub (which also has CSX as well). Since there was plenty of action, I split the day into two parts with this portion having a Eastbound CSX stack train led by a patched Southern Pacific AC44CW, a Eastbound CSX intermodal with CSX 1776 (Spirit of Our Armed Forces ES44AC, the Norfolk Southern hot bottle train, a IHB transfer to Riverdale led by a SW1500, and a IHB mixed manifest led by 2 GP38-2s including IHB 3800 which is the Salute or Troops unit. I honestly don't have words for this kinda day, hard to beat! Torpedoes, 2x IHB and one with a switcher and caboose, UP patch SoPac smokin it up, CSX 1776, CSX 1709 SD40 (never seen one numbered in the 1700s), Seattle & South Coast car, old BN coal hopper... the hits just kept comin! I'd have been geekin. Great video!
