Sue Ryan is an expat, gringo, painter who has lived in Costa Rica for 20 years. Sue has painted murals for schools, restuarants, bars, homes and even big tour companies like Mistico Hanging Bridges, for many years. Most murals are Costa Rica themed. She paints, jungles, waterfalls, mountains, volcanos (Arenal Volcano is a favorite), lakes, flowers, sunshine and animals like monkeys, sloths, parrots, macaws- basically flora and fauna of every kind. Sue artistry comes from her use and knowledge of color, which she is a master of and it is very apparent in all her work. Living abroad and living over seas is the very definition of international living. Buying property and landscaping it and making it your own little paradise and jungle is a great experience. Then add the animals, the birds, the hummingbirds and even the snakes and ants. When that's finished, find a wall Sue can paint to pull everything together; the jungle outside coming alive inside your house.

30 years ago when I was just 21, I was going to move to Key West or a Caribbean island and paint surf boards. I was taken back to that with this video. Sue's paintings are the vision I had for those boards. Just amazing.
