The Rifle is a VHS  5.56×45mm, made in Croatia. The camo pattern incorporates the shape of Croatia. The Training is strictly practice based because of war experience, and some of it is based on the French Foreign Legion. The Officer with the red Beret is from the 4th Guard Brigade “Pauci“ (The Spiders) and their Motto is “In hoc signo vinces“. Croatian MP - ISAF has served in Afghanistan til 2014.

The rifle is an HS Produkt VHS2. It's kind of a like a hybrid of a Famas and a G36. It's the standard issue rifle of Croatia and it even came in 2nd place in the trials to replace the Famas as the French standard infantry rifle. I've heard stories of American soldiers getting to try it out when they were working with Croatian soldiers in the field, consensus seems to be it's about the best possible implementation of a bullpup.

HS Produkt is a Croatian gun maker that actually manufactures the Springfield Armory XD and Hellcat series. Pretty impressive from a company in a small Balkan country! I'm hoping SA and HS decide to import a civilian VHS-2 🤞

Croatia is a pretty popular place for having a holiday home but it suffered quite a lot of strife during the collapse of Yugoslavia (which included Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia) due to a terror campaign which went as far as ethnic cleansing by Serbian militants and the former Yougoslav army in the early 1990's.
