Chain, a young boy who was stuck by his own traumas, can't go back to follow his passion, playing guitar, alongside with communicating with friends due to anxiety. After meeting with Arthit, a boy who have the same passions, Chain start to see things from different angles.

And for people who wonders about their status or whatever, although I made this with the main purpose to show the process of adapting to trauma, I intend to make their dynamic up to the audiences’s perceptions. Whether you comfortably see them as a form of friendship or romantic relations, they are both valid and applicable, as long as it sends the message and warms your heart, it’s already reach my goal 😉

Ps. Fun fact: nicknames of these characters have meaning behind. Chain, like the real meaning of the word, means that he is restricted with something that can’t be solved, while the other boy, Arthit, is a word in Thai that means ‘Sun’, so basically he just a warm dude like his name

If I am not mistaken, 52 Hertz also refers to the lonely whale whose call wasn't answered by any other whales, because it's of different hertz [edit: frequency], hence the 52 Hertz Whale. So, I interpreted this animation as *the MC having no one to understand him, feeling lonely and isolated in physical, mental and emotion aspects; until that guy arrived.

Also I think the story of a boy that has trauma from is mom and thinks he is not good at playing guitar but then has a boy that helps him with his trauma and leading to them playing together and playing the song the brown haired boy wrote for the blue haired boy with both being happy. I have never seen such a good meloncoly but then leading to a happy ending story like this. I have never wish so hard in my life to be in a story you really outdid yourself.👏👏👏👏

I love how the frequency waves appear on the heads of others, showing how the different mental state they are in, in compare to Chain whose frequency is harsh while the others are more smooth, gives a whole meaning to having a “sound” mind
