Playing Over The Bar Line

Greetings from the Big Apple. I thought I'd take opportunity to share my approach to playing over the bar line. Learning to play over the bar line is a great way to create rhythmic interest and intensity to your solos etc. I also discuss the idea of the conscious and subconscious working side by side with an example of how you're already capable of doing this.

Here are my videos on Odd Time Paradiddles if you want to try paradiddles in 5/4 or 7/4.

👌🏻I adore the way you’re presenting your different lessons- regardless from your drum room or from an hotel room…🤷🏻‍♂️
By the way, for some time I’m already working daily on your ‘ double paradiddle challenge’- lesson. 🤗
Greetings from Luxembourg/ Europe !🙋🏻‍♂️😉

I can't keep counting 4/4 when I try intricate patterns (like 5/8 paradiddle & paradiddle-diddles that you played on the video). I might have to be more patient and take time to practice to make such patterns subconscious-sized into my body and mind.

I could do the paradiddlediddle in counting 4/4 x 4 bars subconsciouslly but when I started to analyse how I did it with my sticking I failed.
