Basically you can put any real value for x inside of the function f(x)=mx+c. C is a constant term, m is the slope gradient and x is the variable on which you determine the domain. Here take an example:

Find the domain of the linear function:

f(x)= 6x + 7

Here you can put any value of x no matter how large or small and f(x) would still be real. Like let x =

= + 7
=
Still real.. insert any real negative value still f(x) will be real..

Therefore

Domain of a real function is (-infinity, +infinity)
