I mean, using something radioactive as a clock hand isn't too far off actually. :D
Very old glow-in-the-dark watches contained radium in their phosphorescent paint until around 1970. They are nice test sources for Geiger counters.
It wasn't the radium itself that was glowing though, but maybe this was one of the reasons everything "nuclear" is depicted as green glowing to this day, even though it isn't.
Would be cool though :D
As for the idea of a mechanical clock in Satisfactory, I'm amazed again with what you can come up with, you are extremely inventive and should have way more views from the Satisfactory community, your stuff is amazing!

What in the goddamn... The clock?! You fixed what devs could not - show us a time 😂

I was wondering how you set up a clock without proper logic gates, but it's more of a mechanical deal. Interesting! Less flashy than some digital clock, but this is solidly made and researched!

But that attempt at explaining logic gates via packagers and all is waaaay over my head.

Came here after trying to make my own clock and getting annoyed at fuses. Like you I built a timer and wasn't sure what to try next, it didn't occur to me to use glowing items like this, that's a really good way to do it. I'm going to shamelessly steal this, although I'm going to design a different *looking* clock.

06:57 realized how dumb I am
THAT is not what the rest of the community thinks... you are a (insane) genius.

I love the use of radioactive materials as the indicator line here. Kinda throws back to that point in history where that green radioactive Radium glow was the popular trend in glow in the dark watch faces. Very cool!

I have been waiting patiently for people smarter than me to figure out stuff like this in this game. Keep it up!

Doesn't Dr. Pepper have caffeine? I am pretty sure it does.

Now I wonder if you could run belts in the shapes of 7 segment displays with just the right number of items to show a digital display.

My god, there weren't any logic systems in this game... so you just made them yourself. -sincerely Uel

I have to disappoint you, I am actually the first one who made the 1st CLOCK in Satisfactory, I just never showed anyone. I can proof it.

Rather than measure that precisely how long the belts needed to be couldn’t you have put them at a high mk belt to make sure they backfill quickly, then just put a small section of mk.1 at the end as a limiter so you only need a precise display face, the hidden bit can be longer without causing a problem?

There should be something to do with batteries as they are timers. A combinaisons of batteries and priority switches. 🤔
