This made me cry. I visited Sedona in 2022. I visited all the vortices. Airport Mesa wasn’t all that impressive to me until I was about to hike back to my car. I took one last selfie when this woman approached me & asked if I wanted her to take my picture. Grateful, I handed her my phone & she took several nice pictures of me. We chatted for a few minutes. She told me she was born & raised in Sedona & that Airport Mesa was her favorite vortex. She looked normal enough except for her eyes. They were a crystal clear blue. Startling. They looked a bit too large for her face, which was tear dropped shaped with a pointed chin. She had blonde hair, arched eyebrows & a long slender nose, thin lips & high cheekbones. She was very thin. She looked regal. As it was getting dark & I had to leave she asked if she could give me a hug. I agreed. As we hugged I felt something leave me. It was as if a huge weight lifted from my shoulders. She softly laughed & said “oh, you no longer need that.” I knew she was referring to this weight. I asked her where would it go. She cocked her head & said, “out into the heart of the universe to be transmuted by the light.” We smiled at one another & I felt so peaceful & my heart felt expanded. It wasn’t until I returned to my car that I began to cry. I then realized the weight I had lost was my depression & grief over having lost both my parents within 18 months of one another. I stopped mourning them that very night & I have never felt depressed about losing them again. I owe that woman a debt I can never repay.

He broke his blessed enchantment when he left for New York. She sacrificed something great to leave her land to visit him for one last night together. They'll meet again, yes, but only once his soul is freed from his mortal temple. It's a beautiful thing she gave him even if it broke his heart. It broke her, this fae woman, as well.

I’m speechless, I’m crying, my heart breaks for him. This was beautiful and bittersweet. I don’t think anyone else could have told it the way you did. What a story.

I think, because she told him there will be time later for all the questions that this isn't over yet.
They will meet again. 😊

Peter, this was a riveting, heartbreaking story. When you got to the knock on the NYC apartment door, I hung on every word, and my heart dropped when she was gone again. No matter who or what she was, their love story that spanned only a few months is more than some people experience in a lifetime. Thank you for sharing this story. It was truly moving.

Loved this story, when going through the theories, I thought for sure that you would've mentioned that he was possibly fairy led. She brought him to her little slice of fairy land, and he was under her glamour. That's why he didn't care about the city for four months, but if he left her, he'd be doomed to never find his way back. That's what it sounds like to me. Thank you for telling us this story, you're good at it! Ready for the next one!

Fantastic story! There are so many parallels between this and legends of Faerie Brides. Meeting an otherworldly woman of incredible beauty in a natural setting. An offering of food which allows her to stay in the human realm. The human accidentally breaks their contract in some way. Faerie woman has to return to her otherworldly realm taking all her possessions with her. She returns for a final goodbye.

I almost didn't watch this because I really don't usually resonate with love stories. I'm so glad I did. This is my favorite episode so far.

I grew up living in and traveling through this area in the 80s. There are many such stories told by locals. What I can say with certainty is that this place has a special “feel” to it, almost of something very old and very powerful, and though I can’t say for certain whether or not that’s simply due to the scenic influence, I’ve always felt in my core that it is not.

Thank you for sharing this story.

This is a very touching heartbreaking story. It reminds me of some of the old Celtic fairy tales. I think that if he had stayed with Nara in the cabin he wouldn’t have lost her. I think she knew that if he left her he wouldn’t be able to get back. That’s why she cried as he drove away. Very much like the old Celtic stories of the people who go into fairy mounds.

Interesting story. I think maybe he met a free spirit in Nara. Maybe his sadness needed uplifting and the universe or his family, who had passed on, sent this experience to him to help him. Maybe she was real and lived more freely than what we are used to. I've Visited AZ and Sedona several times...last time there was an earthquake when we arrived from California. Very abnormal. We actually stayed on Airport Mesa at Skyranch Lodge. I didn't notice any enegery or vibe fluctuations. Sedona def has an energy there amongst the rocks that is peaceful and draws you in to linger. I cant speak abt any vortexes but the beauty there is so immense. The color of the orange rocks against the blue sky is a joyful thing to behold. I def recommend a visit if you can.

It sounds like she was some local version of fae. She lives long enough to seem immortal, and maybe is. So her amusement is couched in a different perspective than a short human life span. So even though the feelings were real, she knew how fleeting they'd be. And perhaps she has a special skill in comforting those who jave suffered great loss.

A spellbinding narration, still what I couldn't understand is how he could live so intimately with her and yet not know anything about her family or where she was born and brought up and her childhood, her past relationships etc. I know she mentioned 'her people' but I can't understand how he could feel so deeply about her and not know more...

I do so much enjoy your gift of storytelling. Truly, a wondrous and splendid gift. Thank you, Rev. for this lovely story. It is better to have loved and she disappear into Sedona's beautiful nature to return to her place of origin. Such a fantastic storytelling! Fantastic!!!

If I had the money to live in the Village of Oak Creek I wouldn't want to leave either . It is so very beautiful there with the creek and pines and those fantastic red rocks, they are a unique color of red and it is a marvelous place .

I've been to Sedona several times, but just to spend the night on the way to the Grand Canyon. I always feel a sense of excitement at being there as if it is a special place. I want to go back and explore it more someday soon. I grew up in Tucson, Arizona, but moved to Michigan, so it's over 2, 000 miles away now.

Hi Peter. I live in Jerome, which is just across the Verde Valley from Sedona. Thank you for sharing this story. While Sedona is known for vortices and mystical healing energies, Jerome is haunted by tumultuous paranormal activity. You might look into this for a future video.🙂
