Nice work Aaron. That home shop is coming along superbly. I bet you saved a fortune doing it yourself and you got the result you expected. Good for you!

nice work friend! I always say you're in a good spot if you can't distinguish your work from the factory :)

Very tidy work there Aaron. I really like that welding table. The electrician isn't as pretty as the one that did the wiring before.

Nice tidy set up there Aaron. A question - do you run more than one 3ph machine at a time? I think your phase changer is an 8kw/10hp model. The reason for asking is that I have a 7.5hp RPC with a single outlet. At the moment if I want to switch between machines this involves unplugging one and then plugging in the next machine, I'm considering running a 3ph circuit with 3 or 4 outlets. I don't really envisage running more than 1, possibly two machines simultaneously but wondered if you ever do this. I guess provided you stay below the max output load of the Phase Changer it'd be fine.
(PS, how's the Colchester Master coming along? I managed to fix all the issues I had when mine tipped over - just bent/broken handles but it's all good now)

What does the phase converter do? Is the shop only supplied with 1 phase and you need to make it into 3 phases? If so how many amps do you got on that single phase? Would be a lot to run all that machinery.

My little shop in a rented garage has 3x 400V with 63A so I luckily do not have that problem. I got a Syil x5 which according to the name plate requires 230V 40A. I hooked it up to a 16A outlet using a single phase it works just fine. I expected the machine to use three phases.

Great job Aaron, it looks like a professional installation. How did you power your machines before? Happy new year, Marco.
