How to Create and Use Node-Red Subflows -Beginners Guide

A subflow is a collection of nodes packaged as a single node.
Once created they appear in the node palette and can be selected just like normal nodes.
One very big advantage and possibly also a disadvantage is that if you edit a subflow that edit will affect the subflow in other flows.
An example of how that could be useful is if for example you created a simple function that filtered an incoming message by it's topic and you used that function is several flows.
If you subsequently edited the function in one flow you would also need to edit the function in the other flows.
However if you had packaged the function as a subflow then the change would automatically be deployed in all flows.

In this video tutorial we look at what a subflow is and how to create and use them in your flows.

What was the grey node just to the left of the subflow and partially offscreen?
