One - Metallica Electric Bassoon Cover

I'm so happy and excited to finally present to y'all my most insane and most ambitious electric bassoon cover to date! My goal with these covers has always been 1.) to explore learning and adapting songs from other non-classical genres that I enjoy greatly, 2.) to push the boundaries of what sounds and techniques this instrument is capable of producing with some electronic help! And 3.) of course is to have a ton of fun along the way! I gotta say though, this one really put me through the gauntlet. I always relish a good challenge, but "One's" iconic and relentless triple-tonguing section proved to be the most grueling to recreate. It took me absolute ages to get this take and even so it ended up being nowhere near as clean as I would prefer! I also found it difficult for a while to search for the right timbres. I needed both a heavy distortion sound that came across as deep and intimidating as I wanted as well as a lighter hollow more natural sound for the more gentle and intimate parts. Thankfully, I believe that I achieved what I set out to do: create a passable cover of "One" on electric bassoon. I do hope you enjoy it! Stay tuned through this year as I have so many more covers in the works that I cannot wait to share with y'all!

Damn that solo at the end sounds awesome! Now I wish Kirk Hammett played the bassoon instead of the guitar.
