Since winning the U-23 world title in 2010 UCI Cycling Road World Championships, Team Jayco AlUla's Michael Matthews has had his sights set on being the first-ever athlete to pair that U-23 championship with a coveted elite victory.

From high altitude training in Livigno to course recon in Glasgow, follow Michael on his journey leading up to the 2023 UCI Cycling Worlds.

I qualified for Glasgow in my age group, but won’t be going. Now that I have seen the course I wish I was. Give me a punchy, technical course over a mountain climb any day. As an Aussie I will be cheering for Bling. Good luck mate.

LOVE my Giant bicycles, thanks. "Bling" has always been a wheel follower, not a winner. Had all kinds of talent/potential 10 or 12 years ago, never did much with it because he was never willing to take chances, let it fly. Nice career, but I think not what he and his fans were thinking he'd accomplish.
