vvsc is back for yet another edition and in less than a week you can join to find out the host city, slogan and participation date. see you there! 🤗🇿🇼

rules (basically the same as last ed):
• You must follow all these rules when submitting an entry and participating.
• Please submit original entries. This means no overused entries (that I have seen on 3+ fan contests), no overused artists (5+ fan contests in the community), no songs with over 50 million views, and no viral songs.
• To avoid drama, you should have permission from the original hod in our community who sent the artist you want to send if they have already been sent somewhere.
• Entries must not have participated in VVSC so far.
• All artists must have a connection to the country they represent. This could be them living there, or being from that country.
• If your chosen country is taken you may be allowed to take a borrowing country.
• Basic borrowing rules apply (eg. :flag_za: —> :flag_ls:, :flag_gr: —> :flag_cy:, :flag_au: —> :flag_fj:, etc.)
• England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland participate as the UK.
• A maximum of 6 borrowers will be allowed (and no more than 1 per country).
• Entries can be in any language, or none, if they are purely instrumental.
• High quality covers (ones with good quality sound) are allowed, as long as both the cover and original do not break any of the rules mentioned here.
• Troll songs are not allowed.
• Antarctica can be represented by any song in any language.
• Eurovision, Junior Eurovision, American Song Contest and National Final artists are allowed, as long as they did not come top 3 (in (J)ESC or ASC). There will be a limit of three artists that have participated in these per edition. Eurovision artists from 2015 onwards are not allowed. Any winning artists are also not allowed (whether it be ESC, JESC or ASC). And no artists from 2023 or 2024 seasons.
• Artists that I deem to be ‘too mainstream’ will be rejected.
• Singers can be dead, as there is no age limit for the songs.
• Do not argue with me on whether your entry should be accepted or not; remember, I have the final say.
• If your song needs a replacement video you must specify/make one or I will find one myself.
• No more than 6 national finals will be allowed, each of which can have a maximum of 8 songs.
• I will make no more than 4 of these national finals.
• Be nice to everyone or you’ll be banned like lucky!

Yes, such an awesome time to kick off the next edition! I cannot wait to participate - it will help me overcome the exam depression, which I will have until they end in mid-June, for sure!
But I need to find which country I will represent first.
