This scene is one of the most powerful I’ve ever seen. When he just whispers “don’t carry this around anymore” wow!

I would give almost anything to have one more moment like this with my Dad.

I can't get over how beautiful the chemistry between Mark and Ryan was. It's like they really are father and son. Beautiful

This scene was real! It was improvised! The script was he says your my boy and I love you. When Ryan Reynolds says "ok we don't have to do this" he was completely off gaurd and he was reminded of his real dad who passed in 2015. He said in an interview after Deadpool 1 he never got to hear his dad say he was proud and he feels he can't stop making movies and businesses to fill the void

This is honestly all we wanna be told as sons, but, sometimes, we don’t get that and have to find other father figures to look up to.

My father passed away in March. This movie absolutely ruined me at this scene. It reminds me so much of my dad before he passed away.

“You’re my boys, and you’ll ALWAYS be my boys” -words my father told my brother and I when he hadn’t lived with us for about 10 years after the divorce. I blamed him for a lot (still do a little) but that moment cleared so many emotions my brother and I had built up for so long. It was his wedding day, and although I went there in spite, I saw him happy for the first time in years and it made me happy inside, although I tried fighting it.

Watching this movie. Im not sure what it is that breaks me. But i can definitely say this. The future Adam definitely needed to hear that his father truly loved him, after making himself hate his father because it was easier than missing him after he died, it was something that despite him trying to just get the moment done with he needed to hear. The emotion is so raw that it just gets to me and i dont know why

I can't help but be a bit envious reading some of these comments, I wish my dad could've been like this. He was a manipulative narcissistic abusive alcoholic and I lived with him til I was 21. I can't think of one time he said "I'm proud of you" or "I love you". Some people may watch this scene and understand the feeling in it but others watch this scene and feel a deep longing to have had this moment.

Thank you for this prevision of our inevitable future of the amazing meeting between Deadpool and the Hulk which knowing Ryan Reynolds, I’m sure he’ll throw in a “You’re my boy” reference in

If we were actually told that when we were younger…
