The annual World Car Awards - the number one automobile awards programme on the planet - returns for a new year of competition. The world's best cars will compete across all our categories.

Season Two kicks off with a look at what you can expect this year - from us, the global automobile industry, and indeed our 102 strong international jury from 33 countries.

We also introduce our brand new category - the 2022 World Electric Vehicle of the Year award - and the cars already in the running to win this new honor.
