Apple Watch Series 3 - 6 Months Later, Do I Regret Buying it? In this video I will share my experience using the Apple Watch Series 3 everyday for the past 6 months. I will go over the pros and cons, looking at display, features, durability, performance, storage, battery and more. All to help you decide whether the Series 3 is the right Apple Watch for you! I recommend first watching my Apple Watch Series 3 unboxing and review, in which I go over all features in detail. Then come back to this video to hear about my long-term experience using the watch. Display. Series 3 offers two options; 42mm and 38mm. I choose 38mm in black because this fit more proportionately on my wrist and the darker colour works best with most outfits, from casual to formal. I found the screen not to be too small and very usable. Text is clear, can read messages and email. Images are detailed and rich in colour. The screen is also bright, easy read sunlight and dim to check time at night. On it’s own display is good, but not as good as the slightly more expensive Apple Watch SE (thinner bezels, larger display). Features. I love getting notifications on my wrist through the tap on the wrist. Raise to wake works very well. Do I miss always on display? Yes, when checking time discreetly but for me not worth the large price difference compared to the series 6 or series 7. Unlocking Mac with my watch is great! Responding to messages is easy, through dictation or emojis. ApplePay is always a plus! Stand reminders encourage you to stay active. Siri to set reminders and timers. Small things like this made me grow to appreciate having the apple watch on my wrist. Durability. Any scratches on the display? None. Any dents chips or dicoiuring on the frame? None. Silicone sports band has held up well too, showing only minimal signs of use. Performance. Currently on WatchOS 7, soon WatchOS8. I wish the Series 3 had more built-in storage. Recent updated require you to backup, wipe and restore your Series 3 to install new updates. Making the process quite inconvenient. Regardless, I am still glad to have the latest updates! If you plan to download lots of media then I really suggest going for the Apple Watch SE (32GB) compared to (8GB, 4GB usable). In day to day use there is pretty much no lag. The watch is responsive and is fast! But some app do take a bit long to load, for example maps. App crashes are very rare, however due to ram limitations apps do not stay open long in the background. For me I found this not be an issue on my watch as I am rarely switching between apps. Battery. Does it last all day? Yes! Has it changed over the past 6 months? No! Price. Apple sells the Series 3 for $199. While it is a great watch, I do not think it is worth that price, instead at that price I would pay a bit more to get the Apple Watch SE and its extra features. That said, I bought my series 3 for $150, at this price point I do believe it is wroth it. The Series 3 allows you to experience the core features that make the apple watch so great at a more affordable price point!

I just got a series 3 38mm GPS for 93 dollars used but it was in absolutely new condition. 98% battery health with the box, + 3 extra bands and also the original charging puck which is also in great condition. For 93 dollars I think even today this watch is worth it.

Would you still recommend buying a series 3 now? Or will it be outdated in the near future, making it more ‘wise’ to spend more on the SE?
I’m new in the Apple Watch arena, and I’m not going to storage pictures and so on one on it. I would really just use it for the health functions and design.
