It's crazy they give you SBC storage and increase the cost of SBCs by 50% and don't give packs to grind. They want you to swipe to get promo cards and complete SBCs now

Dude it’s honestly gone. It’s unsaveable. People will get back on for TOTY and realise they still can’t pack anything and genuinely delete the game forever.

Along with TOTY not even feeling that special anymore due to the amount of promo’s, I genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if they just slack even more off with the game as they have minimal traffic coming into the game.

No one seems to talk about this, but you have to understand that there are 3 types of players: people who will spend regardless, people who will spend if EA can convince them, and people who will never spend at all.

The only relevant question from a business perspective is how to make as many of the "middle-grounders" spend as possible. There are 2 ways to do that: make the game fun so that people feel invested and happy with it, or make the game bad and convince people that they could have fun if they upgraded their team.

Of course, the latter is infinitely easier. In fact, we saw that in operation last week. We were given turbo juiced cards that were way ahead of the power curve, and those cards felt noticeably better. Once those cards expired, and we went back to using our regular attackers, there will have been a significant number of people who spent money to chase the feeling of having the juiced cards again.

We are in an era of gaming where freebies simply don't make sense from a business perspective, so there's no point making videos asking for the free "grindable" stuff, because we aren't going to get it. As has always been the case, the only way to make them listen is by speaking with our wallets. Unfortunately, it's impossible to coordinate any meaningful boycotts, so nothing is going to change.

I live off the menus. It's always been my bread and butter for grinding the game. And when gameplay was awful, you could always fall back on it to stay on the game. Now it's just all awful and it's incredibly hard to stay motivated to be on this game. Even League SBCs are crazy since packing Gold Commons is difficult, so all the Sud/Lib Gold Commons are 4k. Not sure what EA expect us to do with these new shiny expensive SBC cards, it's crazy. Honestly, if EVOs didn't exist, building a team would be incredibly difficult without trading or going to the store. It's insanity

The grind this year has been objectives like 'play 10 matches with 2 players from this league' for a 78x2. Like, how could a company be so fucking brain broken

What happened to the original league SBCs? Or icon swaps?

Those were genuinely so much fun. League SBCs gave throwaway cards value, whereas nowadays 95% of cards are basically useless.

I strongly believe in playing this game with no money spent but this is the HARDEST game to even pack any promo card even with playing squad battles, champs (9-10 wins consistent) and SBC packs. I finally cracked with the store player picks that were 500 fc points each (5) and i packed donavan twice, diaby and correia.

What is the point of grinding when putting in money is the only way to get a chance at any promo card?

7:30 "they go play other games". Exactly that. Spent more time on Rimworld and BO6 than i have on Fifa this year, even as a returning player thats been absent for a few years. Loved Evos, was excited to get stuck in but even thats been a botch. I look up the app and futbin etc, see the promos and potential things to do in game and then log out because as a casual player that only has enough time to play maybe 10-15 games a week if im lucky, the grind has become pretty much nil. I miss the days of just consistantly bronze packing (still works but returns are pointless really unless you craft upgrades with the left overs) for 8-10k a transfer list and just passively making a little bit a day with 3 games to spend the hour before i log off. Thats before i get to the issues I have on PC with the market fuckery and people dominating the higher player economy.

The promo packs as sbc will be good for at least a while. Cuz what's missing is that dopamine hit from seeing the flare and walkouts.

Cuz now u rarely see it n when u do.. N it's a 84/85. Never the big cards. That for sure will push ppl away.

Also the fact that they released the 100 mixed player pack AND AT THE SAME TIME ran lighting rounds for the 100golds player pack for 20$ was shambolic.
Imo that was a spit in the face to the community, n shows us where their priorities lie. Diabolical and shameless from EA. Cuz u know the whales that play and high earners will spend (eg actual pro footballers/ big streamers) regardless

Iam interested how many players will remain playing FC 25 until the end of this year. xD It does not look good already. Iam pretty sure half of the playerbase left and playing BO6, and with STALKER 2 coming out next week.... EA already cooked and its just mid november.

What I feel is most daunting for this franchise is the fact that it doesn’t get ANY new players. Most of this game’s playerbase is made of people who have been playing for years and years, and they will soon lose interest in this game, if not already.
