When I was a baker at a Tim Hortons, I used to make a special doughnut for someone that was an old fashioned chocolate cake doughnut that's been glazed, left to fully dry, then I'd dip it in the chocolate fondant, then in crushed peanuts, and then I'd put a big chocolate squiggly on-top. She was an older lady who was super awesome, and she's the only thing I miss about that job. Everything else about it was terrible.

I used to work at a donut shop (Do Rite Donuts - it's amazing! You have to visit one if you ever go to Chicago!) and the most popular/sold donut was the Old Fashioned! We had plain and chocolate ones and they sold out first almost every day. The yeast-raised glazed donuts were the next most popular. Most people just appreciate the simple flavors the best.

Glazed donuts are a go to. I can't take too much sugar so tend to skip some donuts with frosting and sprinkles (those are the cutest ones though). Either glazed or a cinnamon flavored one (bonus points if cinnamon apple).

My favourite donut is Boston Cream. I used to have this as a child from dunkin donuts.... But now the custard cream doesn't taste quite like how I remember it to be and Krispy creme is just way too sweet... Actually all of their donuts are way too sweet because of all the sugar glaze going on.

A close second is a donut with powdered sugar filled with jam or custard. I like a good filled donut and when all else fails, I would like a simple chocolate donut.

I'm not a big fan of sprinkles because the different colors makes the already unhealthy snack look 100 times more unhealthy... So I'd rather not have that added guilt. That said I would not refuse any donut.... Because it's a donut. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I am the same way! I love the donuts (preferably with holes) that have the chocolate icing with a chocolate base! It is so good! I might try it with the nuts next time I get any donuts though

My favorite donut is probably lemon filled 😋 the slightly tart taste with the sweetness of the glaze is lovely! The convenience store near my home makes them fresh daily and they are to die for!

sometimes when ppl ask you about something you like you tend to get embarrassed to say the truth because people expects that you would like something unique. sometimes i feel embarrassed to say that my favorite ice cream flavor is strawberry because people always think that it's "too common" and that i should try this and that flavor. btw my favorite donut flavor is Bavarian from Dunkin. never get old

I love chocolate on chocolate! Which explains my huge love for chocolate cakes, tho my favorite type of donuts are usually the originals with nothing (not even a glaze or sugar coating)

I don't really like donuts but there's a place in town that specializes in cronuts and I really like their Beignet Cronut. The only topping they have is powdered sugar, meaning they're sweet- but don't risk becoming soggy like with the ones that are glazed.
