This lecture forms part of the 2022 online Student Development Workshop.
Stela Gujamo has a degree in Archeology and Cultural Heritage Management from Eduardo Mondlane University, is a young researcher, with a special interest in cultural landscapes, conservation of cultural and natural heritage, preventive archaeology, and creative industries for the sustainability of local communities that hold cultural and natural heritage.
Therefore, she has experience in archaeological research, since 2017, working on diverse research projects with a view to valuing and conserving cultural and natural heritage. Her bachelor's thesis focused on the theme: “The In Situ Conservation of the Archaeological Heritage: Conception of the Archaeological Park of Chongoene, in the Province of Gaza, in the District of Chongoene”.
She is passionate about the educational character of archaeology and believes, however, that if communities appropriate the heritage they own, they can project themselves in order to achieve the goals they have set.
